	October 2008	The SAFSS AGM will be held on 7th February 2009 so please book this date in your diaries now. You will be notified of venue & times in due course. Exciting News about activities during the off-season coming soon.\| During the off season SAFSS will be putting together various working committees to address a number of issues. We hope to have a really great 2009 season. Check in from time to time to see the working committees progress, latest news & some exciting additions to this website.
	September 2008	In Appreciation SAFSS would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the following clubs, individuals and companies for their donations to the SAFSS Legal Fund: Siberian Husky Club of Gauteng, Coyote Ugly, Wolfgang Meyer, SJ Grobler, Arkam Plumbing Supplies, Imperative Technology and Events Original. Thank you to Howling Huskies who are organizing two fundraisers. One at the Barnyard Theatre Broadacres held on Thursday 3rd July 2008 and the second, a Golf Day on the 29th July 2008. 	August 2008	SAFSS Championship results now available. Please note that these results have not yet been verified. Year to date points have also been updated. Thank you to the Bollweg family for their kind donation to our Legal Fund.
	July 2008	In appreciation for the single biggest donation so far to our Legal Fund, SAFSS would like to recognize Wondermutt Underdogs for their generous donation. The hard work that went into this donation is well noted. The raffle draw took place at a SAFSS function this weekend and a great time was had by all. Thank you to all who attended, your support is indicative of the strength of our sport in this country. Support from non-sledding dog lovers was amazing. Thank you to all involved again. Thank you to Wondermutt Underdogs for hosting a Fun Walk, the SAP and the NSPCA while the rest of us could run our dogs in peace. Results will not be posted on this website to protect the individuals concerned. NOTICE Due to NSPCA threats the SAFSS National Championships 2008 have been changed to the SAFSS Championships 2008 and a new venue has been located. Details will be announced here soon. ALL ENTRIES WILL BE VETTED BY THE SAFSS BOARD & ENTRANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED THAT THEIR ENTRY HAS BEEN ACCEPTED DEADLINE FOR ENTRY FORMS The deadline for entry forms for the SAFSS Championships 2008 & SAFSS Championships Fun Cani-Walk 2008 has been extended to the 20th July 2008. NOTE: If you have already sent in your entry forms you do not have to submit these new forms. Please address any queries to safsssecret@mweb.co.za.
	June 2008	Coyote Ugly hosted our third event of the season. A great trail with a few hair raising moments that exhilarated mushers and dogs alike. Thanks to all the mushers and handlers, friends and family who have braved the early winter mornings to attend our events so far. We hope to see you all again on the 13th when Wondermutt Underdogs will be hosting another event. A Special General Meeting will be held on Saturday 28th June at 14h30. Venue: Committee Room, Goldfields Show-grounds, Boeing Rd, Bedfordview. (Continue past Jeppe Quondam, turn left under the N3, left again at the T-junction robot, just past golf driving range turn right into entrance.) See Calendar for visual map. All SAFSS affiliated members are invited to attend. Agenda to follow. To accommodate with the booking, please rsvp by 31st May. Email the SAFSS secretary June 21st Our Second successful event was held by Wondermutt Underdogs. Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed being out with their dogs. Coyote Ugly is hosting our next event. Check out the "Change to Event Venue" on our calendar. You don't want to miss this event, not far but challenging, a beautiful venue set on private property (Details to follow). SA CHAMPS VENUE CHANGED SAFSS will no longer be holding the SA CHAMPS in Kroonstad. Details of the new venue to be announced soon as well as other information and entry details. In celebration of the official beginning of winter Howling Huskies hosted a successful first event of the season. The sledding community is looking forward to an event filled season.
